Growing Your Eyelashes With Latisse

Do you feel like your eyelashes have thinned over the past few years? What if I told you, in just two months you can succeed in growing your eyelashes without extensions? I am going to talk about what exactly is Latisse and how it works. Not only does it grow your eyelashes, but it can thicken them and make them darker. You are going to have long lushes lashes in no time without having to apply fake ones!

What is Latisse?

Latisse is an FDA-approved medication called bimatoprost. It was originally found to help grow lashes when it was being used for ophthalmologic reasons in people with glaucoma. So first and foremost it is an eye medication, how cool is that? When the founders of this medication realized their glaucoma patients were following up and mentioning their eyelashes had been growing they knew they were on to something.

How does Latisse work?

It is a liquid solution that is meant to be applied nightly to a clean face along both the top eyelid margin and lower eyelid margin with an applicator that is typically sold with the medication. Some people may experience improvement quickly but most will see gradual improvement over a two-month period. Some people’s eyelashes can even get TOO long that they have to trim them back. If you use the product for, let’s say a year, and decide to stop applying it you will eventually return to baseline. In other words, the results are not permanent.

Where can you find it?

Latisse is a prescription medication, so, unfortunately, you will not be able to find it at your local drugstore. You will need to see a medical provider either in person or online in order to obtain a prescription. Price will depend on a number of factors such as: what pharmacy it is being sent to, what size bottle is being prescribed, if you have to pay a copay to see the provider, and several other factors.

Is Latisse worth it?

That question is going to be up to you. It will likely work if used correctly. However, it takes time, costs money, and is not permanent. I encourage you to talk to your medical provider with any further questions. Have you used Latisse in the past or are currently using it? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
